EMPLOYER-LED SECURE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT DUAL MODEL APPRENTICESHIP PARTNERING WITH COMMUNITY COLLEGES

In this Virtual Brown Bag, Girish Seshagiri will discuss a collaborative effort demonstrating how community colleges working with industry can create pathways to in-demand high wage, high technology jobs through a dual model apprenticeship.

The collaborative effort’s innovation pioneered a degree program which incorporated the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute’s (CMU/SEI’s) software assurance curriculum recommendations at the community college level and is aligned with the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework.
